Wheel Locks

The Parking and Transportation Services reserves the right to place wheel locks (boot) on vehicles under the following conditions:

• The vehicle has received four citations for an unregistered vehicle
• Student or registered owner has been sent an unregistered vehicle memo

If a vehicle receives a wheel lock, the owner/driver must contact Parking and Transportation Services during office hours to discuss the citations and to register the vehicle if the driver intends to continue to park on campus. Vehicle registrations are only processed during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.  Vehicles are not considered registered until the permit or pass is correctly displayed on the vehicle. 

A Vehicle with a University of Richmond wheel lock in excess of ten days is subject to an off-campus tow at the owner’s expense.
