Violation Fines

The University of Richmond Parking and Transportation office is implementing a level accumulation fine structure. Citation violations will fall under a specific Violation Level. Each level will have its own violation fine accumulation structure. The base fine will increase with each additional citation for the same violation.

Citations range from $10.00 to $300.00. All fines are paid at the Bursar’s Office.

If you wish to appeal a citation, appeals must be filed within 10 days of the citation date.

The University of Richmond reserves the right to apply wheel locks or tow vehicles that receive multiple unregistered violations. Vehicles are towed at the owner’s expense and the towing charge cannot be appealed. Contact the UR Police Department or Parking and Transportation for information as to where your vehicle has been towed as soon as possible to avoid storage fees.

Parking and Transportation may revoke parking privileges at any time for excessive fines, fraudulent registration, or irresponsible behavior while operating a vehicle on campus.

Parking in Post Office Spaces when not doing Postal Business

Parking in Restricted Area on Football/Basketball Game Days

Parking in Restricted Area (Temporary lot or space closure)

Parking in a No Parking Tow Away Zone
